Early Sunday morning, the 5th, the victim in the assault was driving downValley Avenueand crossing Bernal when she heard a sound like the chirp of a police siren. A flash of light from the vehicle following her led her to believe that she was being pulled over by a police officer. As such, she parked her car on a secluded area on the side of the road.
The suspect produced an imitation police badge, ordered the victim from her car, and handcuffed her. He then put her in the back seat of his vehicle and drove her to an unknown, isolated road where she was sexually assaulted and then left at the scene. Following, the victim walked to her vehicle and returned home.
The incident was not reported until several weeks after its occurrence for unknown reasons.
The victim has provided descriptions of the suspect and his vehicle. The vehicle was described as a black sedan with four doors, of unknown make and model.
The suspect, according to the victim, is a white male in his late 20s or early 30s with dark brown or black hair. He is five feet ten inches to six feet tall, weighing around 185 pounds and has a medium or muscular build.
With regards to the attire he used to impersonate an officer, he wore a dark buttoned shirt and a dark, police-like hat with a patent leather brim. Neither had police insignias.
